5 productivity practices to employ in 2018

By the Roadmap+ Team

We've selected five of some of our most effective productivity tips that will keep you on track for achieving your new year goals. These five practices will highlight and bring awareness of how each day is spent, while each week is a fresh start to repeat what worked or try something else.

  1. Create a weekly plan and review ritual. This will not only include a review of what you have or haven't done over the week, but you'll get into the habit of setting yourself up for a successful week by taking care of your home and yourself.

  2. Create and stick to a weekly meal plan. Done right, you'll save time, money and calories.

  3. each week is a fresh start to repeat what worked or try something else

  4. Turn on auto-pilot by habit sequencing or stacking. List a set of tasks you want to complete daily and develop a habit of completing them one after another. As it's perfect for small tasks that build up to a larger task, create a few lists to complete over the day and fill up your weekly tracker with checkmarks.

  5. Use a timer and never lose track of time again. Combine a timer with habit sequencing/stacking or giving yourself a timed break.

  6. Breaks are great for clearing your head, finding inspiration and reducing stress, but intentional breaks are even better as they're done for a specific reason, scheduled as a reward and guilt-free.
