EDC, WIMB, essentials, whatever you call the stuff you carry everyday is the topic of our latest blog series. We ask productive people to empty their bags and share their everyday carry with us to find out what helps them make stuff happen and what they can't live without.
This month we talk to a university student in Taiwan and get a glimpse of her daily essentials and tips for getting things done.
As a uni student, sometimes we have a lot of textbooks and papers to take along but I always try my best to get it light. Mostly my bag includes an iPad mini, a notebook, my planner, an umbrella, a small snack and a card holder.
Using an iPad mini is useful for a student. I put most of the e-edition teaching materials and presentation ppt in it so I don't need to carry heavy books. My notebook is a Lihit Lab A5 notebook which combines loose leaf and spiral journal. Also I won't forget to bring a cereal bar or a small bag of soda cracker. When I have a tight class timetable I have no time to get a meal, so it's a small snack as emergency supply for me during the classes. But today before I took this photo, I ate it and a cup of coffee instead.
to have a blueprint in your mind is an important start
They must be my iPhone, earphones, umbrella and the Traveler's Notebook Passport (TNP). Just can't work or study without music. As a rock music addict, I enjoy the speed of guitar which gives me motivation to finish things. I use the TNP as on-the-go planner. The size is pretty small but has enough space to write down things. Due to the weather not being steady here, carrying an umbrella would be a wise choice.
I think to have a blueprint in your mind is an important start. You know exactly what you are going to do next hour, next day or a working period meanwhile you understand what are your limits. For me, taking five minutes to plan before I started to do anything make it become more productive. Last but not the least, follow your heart, it will never lead you astray!
